Campsis radicans is a species of flowering plant of the
family Bignoniaceae, native to the eastern United States. The trumpet creeper
is a popular, fast growing, high climbing deciduous woody vine that will grow
to heights up to 40 ft. red trumpet-shaped flowers first appear in summer
and are produced continuously until early autumn. Its magnificent flowers never
fail to attract Sun birds within its range. The root is diaphoretic and
vulnerary
